Weekly open maker nights, technical workshops, and collaborative sprints make it easy for anyone in MA to get started, regardless of background or experience level. The Hive is committed to growing the region's STEM ecosystem by connecting creative individuals with the resources and community they need to bring bold ideas to life.

Description

The Hive is Cambridge's state-of-the-art makerspace located at the Main Library. It is a hub for STEAM learning, creativity, and community collaboration in Cambridge. Its mission is to provide free, hands-on learning opportunities to the Cambridge community, resources for personal projects, and to serve as a hub for skill sharing and creative collaboration.The Hive is home to a fabrication lab, a multimedia recording studio, a podcasting studio and an extended reality lab (XR lab). It is open to individuals with a Minuteman library card. The space is designed for independent use for patrons ages 12 and up and supervised use for children under the age of 12.
