Description

FabLab popayan is a small-scale workshop with computer-controlled equipment and instruments to support the implementation of technology-based projects for students, companies and entrepreneurs in the region. This laboratory has technology to perform rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes. To support rapid prototyping processes, there are: Additive manufacturing equipment by FDM technology, Laser cutting equipment, Acrylic bending machine. To support the manufacturing processes, it has: 3D scanner for reverse engineering, CNC machining center, CNC milling machine, Hand tools. We have licensed software for CAD, CAM and CAE: Solidworks, Inventor, Mastercam, Geomagic, labview, Solidcam, CorelDraw, among others.
