Located in Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia, Fab Lab Un Medellín is a vibrant hub for hands-on innovation in Colombia. the space brings together makers, students, and technology enthusiasts in a fully equipped fabrication and prototyping environment. From 3D printing and electronics to robotics and software development, the lab supports projects at every stage — from initial concept to working prototype. Weekly open maker nights, technical workshops, and collaborative sprints make it easy for anyone in Antioquia to get started, regardless of background or experience level. Fab Lab Un Medellín is committed to growing the region's STEM ecosystem by connecting creative individuals with the resources and community they need to bring bold ideas to life.

Description

Iniciativa creada por la Facultad de Arquitectura, Universidad Nacional de Colombia con sede Medellín en conjunto con la Fab Foundation, que hace parte de la red FabLabs del Center For Bits And Atoms (CBA) del Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

El laboratorio de fabricación es un espacio de innovación digital con máquinas de control numérico para la experimentación, prototipado, corte y manufactura. El FabLab es el encargado de liderar proyectos de innovación e investigación con un alto grado de interdisciplinariedad en el campus de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia con sede en Medellín.

El laboratorio de fabricación digital está abierto para varias disciplinas y/o carreras como arquitectos, ingenieros físicos, ingenieros mecánicos, artistas, constructores, diseñadores, grupos de investigación e investigadores de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia así como también para estudiantes y profesionales externos.
