The VWeLab @ The Howard School is 1 of 58 public-school-based labs funded by Volkswagen Chattanooga in partnership with the State of Tennessee.

Organized in 2017, The VWeLab @ The Howard School has continued to grow into a force for maker education and advocacy in the Chattanooga Area, and is a host site of the annual Chattanooga Fab Institute.

The VWeLab @ The Howard School is comprised of roughly 3500 sqft of dedicated lab space as well as an equipment check-out program. For obvious safety reasons, as part of an operational public school, we are not open to the public-at-large except for during specific events.
