Tecnopuc Fablab - Freezone in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil is more than a workspace — it is a launchpad for innovation in Brazil. the lab offers state-of-the-art equipment, including 3D printers, laser engravers, electronics benches, and CAD workstations, within a collaborative, community-driven environment. Startups use the space to build early-stage hardware prototypes; educators run practical STEM sessions for school groups; and independent makers pursue personal projects with expert support on hand. Regular themed hackathons and innovation challenges help participants push boundaries and connect with like-minded creators across Rio Grande do Sul. Description

Founded in 2018 PUCRS's FreeZone is a FabLab equipped with tools, 3D printers, computers and a skillful support team. It is located at the heart of TECNOPUC, PUCRS's Technology Park surrounded by highly innovative global companies and young startups founded by PUCRS students and alumni.
The FreeZone space, tools and team are aiming to help Universty faculty, students, researchers, alumni, TECNOPUC's companies and startups with digital manufacturing, early stages of prototyping, making their ideas come true.
