About Fablab Umag

Fablab Umag in Punta Arenas, Chile is more than a workspace — it is a launchpad for innovation in Chile. the lab offers state-of-the-art equipment, including 3D printers, laser engravers, electronics benches, and CAD workstations, within a collaborative, community-driven environment. Startups use the space to build early-stage hardware prototypes; educators run practical STEM sessions for school groups; and independent makers pursue personal projects with expert support on hand. Regular themed hackathons and innovation challenges help participants push boundaries and connect with like-minded creators across Punta Arenas. From the FabLab UMAG space we seek to generate ties that allow us to link the community with the world of innovation and scientific disciplines, promoting the development of ideas and projects, through collaborative work.

We design and manufacture prototypes that help lay the foundations for your projects, and we experiment with materials and technologies.

We generate instances of interaction with professionals from different areas, promoting innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration.

In the regional context, we are committed to focusing on collaboration with scientific-technological-based projects or with the potential to be so.
