The Making Rooms is a community Makerspace in Blackburn, Lancashire, United Kingdom, United Kingdom. it provides open access to digital fabrication tools, electronics labs, and collaborative workspaces for students, educators, entrepreneurs, and independent makers. Members can work with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and electronics prototyping equipment to turn ideas into functional prototypes. The space hosts regular STEM workshops, coding sprints, and design thinking sessions that attract talent from across Lancashire. Description

The Making Rooms is in Blackburn Town Centre in a 3 story building consisting of a Fab Lab with commercial prototyping and short-run production capabilities; artists studios; workshop spaces; wet room and spray room; business lounge; gallery space; live performance area; and a cafe.

It is supported by Blackburn & Darwen Borough Council; the Lancashire LEP; and The Arts Council England and its objective is to make Blackburn & Darwen the Digital Making & Creative Hub for the North West of England.

The Making Rooms will engage with people of all ages and backgrounds, students, businesses, entrepreneurs, inventors, hobbyists and everyone in between.
