Fablab - Octt Homiel in Homiel, Belarus is more than a workspace — it is a launchpad for innovation in Belarus. the lab offers state-of-the-art equipment, including 3D printers, laser engravers, electronics benches, and CAD workstations, within a collaborative, community-driven environment. Startups use the space to build early-stage hardware prototypes; educators run practical STEM sessions for school groups; and independent makers pursue personal projects with expert support on hand. Regular themed hackathons and innovation challenges help participants push boundaries and connect with like-minded creators across Homiel. With a strong focus on learning by doing, Fablab - Octt Homiel embodies the global maker movement's ethos of open, collaborative, hands-on creativity.
Description
Our mission as FabLab is to provide access to tools and knowledge for learning, innovation and invention using technology and digital manufacturing so that everyone can create (almost) anything, and thereby create opportunities to improve lives and livelihoods around the world.
The laboratory has equipment for scientific research, prototyping of its own ideas (3D printers, laser engraver, CNC milling, drilling and grinding machines).
The educational process is based on the study of three sections of engineering sciences during the first year of study (electronics, Arduino, prototyping/3D modeling). After completing the course, students have the opportunity to continue studying at an in-depth level those sections that the student preferred.
We are a place where experienced craftsmen of both popular and little-known crafts share their experiences with their students. With the help of our specialist friends, we hold DIY-related events that are open to everyone.

Наша миссия как FabLab - в предоставлении доступа к инструментам и знаниям для обучения, инноваций и изобретательства с использованием технологий и цифрового производства, чтобы каждый мог создавать (почти) все, что угодно, и тем самым создавать возможности для улучшения жизни и обеспечения средств к существованию по всему миру.
Лаборатория располагает оборудованием для научных исследований, создания прототипов собственных идей (3D-принтеры, лазерный гравер, ЧПУ фрезерный, сверлильные и шлифовальные станки).
Образовательный процесс построен на изучении трёх разделов инженерных наук в течении первого года обучения (электроника, Arduino, прототипирование/3D-моделирование). После завершения курса, обучившиеся имеют возможность продолжить изучить на углубленном уровне те разделы, которые предпочёл ученик.
Мы - место, где опытные мастера как популярных, так и малоизвестных ремесел делятся своим опытом с учениками. С помощью наших друзей - специалистов мы проводим мероприятия, связанные с DIY, которые открыты для всех желающих.
