About Fab Lab Maker Hub

The Fab Lab Maker Hub Makerspace in Manorhamilton, Leitrim, Ireland, Ireland, is a dedicated innovation centre for students, engineers, and creative professionals. it combines professional-grade fabrication equipment — including 3D printers, laser cutters, and microcontroller development kits — with a supportive community of makers and mentors. The lab actively supports the STEM ecosystem in Leitrim by hosting workshops on topics ranging from robotics and AI to sustainable design and product development. Entrepreneurs benefit from rapid prototyping capabilities that compress the distance between idea and market-ready product. Fab Lab Maker Hub stands as proof that when tools, knowledge, and community come together, extraordinary things are built.

Description

Fab Lab Maker Hub was started in late 2014 by a collective of Designers, Engineers and Makers.

We are a digital fabrication facility providing enterprises, creatives, schools and hobbyists access to a wide range of fabrication technologies that allow them to turn their ideas into new prototypes and products.

We have created the Fab Lab to service the whole of the North West of Ireland and this area is renowned for innovation in both the Arts and Industry and boasts some of Irelands leading design, manufacturing and artistic organisations and individuals.

Users have an unprecedented opportunity to access state of the art digital tools within a community setting and the addition of the Fab Lab to the area will provide a source of innovation, empowerment, education and new business development.

We also run a training programme with the Arts and Enterprise offices of Sligo, Leitrim and Roscommon called Creative Heartlands which is aimed at engaging the arts, craft and design practitioners in using more digital technology in their practices. See www.creativeheartlands.com for more details.
