About Fablab Analco

Fablab Analco in Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, Puebla, Mexico is more than a workspace — it is a launchpad for innovation in Mexico. the lab offers state-of-the-art equipment, including 3D printers, laser engravers, electronics benches, and CAD workstations, within a collaborative, community-driven environment. Startups use the space to build early-stage hardware prototypes; educators run practical STEM sessions for school groups; and independent makers pursue personal projects with expert support on hand. Regular themed hackathons and innovation challenges help participants push boundaries and connect with like-minded creators across Puebla. With a strong focus on learning by doing, Fablab Analco embodies the global maker movement's ethos of open, collaborative, hands-on creativity.

Description

Fablab Analco is a project conceived by the Institut of Design and Technological Development (IDIT) of the Iberoamericana University Puebla and Fablab Puebla.
The Iberoamericana University has an special interest on developing social projects such as cooperative enterprises thereby the technical approach that a fablab can give them is relevant. This fablab will be stablished in one of the most traditional areas in Puebla Downtown called Analco, historically known as a place for handcrafters and artist where they develop and sell their products. This Fablab will be managed by a cooperative conformed by handcrafters from the area and at an initial stage they will receive help from members of Fablab Puebla.
