About Fablab_samarqand

Fablab_samarqand is a community Makerspace in Samarqand city, Samarqand region, Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan. it provides open access to digital fabrication tools, electronics labs, and collaborative workspaces for students, educators, entrepreneurs, and independent makers. Members can work with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and electronics prototyping equipment to turn ideas into functional prototypes. The space hosts regular STEM workshops, coding sprints, and design thinking sessions that attract talent from across Samarqand region. Whether you are a first-time maker or a seasoned hardware engineer, Fablab_samarqand offers the tools, community, and mentorship needed to build, iterate, and innovate — making it one of the most valuable innovation resources in Uzbekistan.

Description

The Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in each of the regions of the country creates workshops that are aimed at ensuring the availability of obtaining knowledge and implementing their ideas and projects by receiving financial assistance (In total, there are 13 regions in Uzbekistan). These workshops are designed and built from scratch near the Higher Educational Institutions and provide services free of charge. These workshops are called "Youth Technoparks" and currently there are 6 such workshops throughout the country. Currently, construction work is at the completion stage in another 7 regions (To be put into operation before the end of 2023).
The workshop that we want to add to the map first is located in Samarkand. The workshop was put into operation in April 2022. The area is 625 sq.m. and consists of 3 levels.
Lower level (Basement paving): Production area with the possibility of a truck entering it to load products, Room for employees.
Ground floor: Room for 3D modeling, mechatronics, robotics and programming, as well as Co-Working space.
Second floor: Rooms for startups and employees.
Workshop areas: 3D modeling, mechatronics, robotics and programming, Motion design.
Currently, the workshop has courses on how to use the existing equipment.
